The future of anti-aging skin perfection
Aesthetic Body Sculpture Clinic loves innovative, noninvasive procedures and opted for the latest technology when it comes to skin resurfacing treatments. Dr. Monte Slater chose SILKPEEL DERMALINFUSION™ for “Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing,” and is glad to add yet another restorative, yet affordable procedure for Anti-Aging and Day to Day “Skin Health.”
The SilkPeel Science
The term microdermabrasion covers a range of mechanical skin resurfacing procedures. These include the “old school” technology of using sand or aluminum particles to “sandblast” the skin, stripping away the superficial layer. It also includes the use of abrasive tips, fibrous pads or brushes to give the skin sort of a “polished” feel. However, it also includes the most advanced technology, known as dermalinfusion, which is growing rapidly worldwide in its popularity. While Dermal-infusion incorporates a form of microdermabrasion as part if its process, it accomplishes much more.
The SILKPEEL has quickly become the “BUZZ” treatment in the USA as it is quick, affordable and assists in minimizing breakouts and acne. That might be the very same reason SILKPEEL is a very popular treatment among celebrities, as the pressure to have perfect skin (under excruciating lighting) is on. SILK PEEL utilizes a much more controlled and consistent operating system. That is because, rather than blasting particles at skin (as with older Microderm devices), or pushing an abrasive tip across the skin by hand, Dermal-infusion uses the controlled vacuum pressure to pull the skin up into a chamber in the hand piece, where it is evenly abraded just as aggressively or as softly as the vacuum pressure is set by the skincare professional.
The setting will depend on the skin type and the goals, as well as the gender and age of the patient. Men tend to have thicker skin, and younger folks might suffer from break-outs rather than dry skin. The fact that the setting is so flexible is significant because most other devices rely on the operator to apply the same pressure, at the same speed, consistently over the skin. Unfortunately getting a perfectly even, consistent treatment from beginning to end can be very difficult to achieve. If an operator leaves the particle blast in one place too long, they can remove too much skin, causing pinpoint bleeding, and ultimately damaging the skin. If the operator pushes the handpiece down too hard or too soft, they will under-treat or over-treat the skin – and perhaps both over different areas during the same treatment. At Aesthetic Body Sculpture Clinic the SILKPEEL is often used as an additional treatment option and/or as an alone standing procedure. We found that SilkPeel can be used on every skin type and even the most sensitive skin can benefit from the SILKPEEL
The process of controlled exfoliation or microdermabrasion is where the comparisons stop. However, it is just the beginning of the actual dermal infusion treatment one receives during an SILKPEEL procedure. This treatment truly shines, both as a preferred treatment for the patient/client and also as an invaluable tool for the skin care professional in treating a wide variety of skin conditions. We invite you into Aesthetic Body Sculpture Clinic to experience this awesome treatment.
